We enjoy The Cotton Exchange Tavern on River Street. It had a cozy atmosphere but was close enough that the kids could run outside to see the giant boats going by.
We really enjoyed letting the kids play on the playground at Forsythe Park and getting coffee and having a relaxed morning.
Be flexible!! We let the kids guide us to the shops and sights they wanted to see, instead of sticking to a strict schedule and it was very enjoyable!

Too many to just choose one!! Absolute beautiful place to visit. Definitely recommend leav9ng the car parked and walk everywhere.
The 22 historic squares are all withing walking distance and absolutely beautiful landmarks of Savanah, as well as full of history. River walk os a must for history, and great food and drinks!! My favorite is all the small bistros and pubs, great food!!
The Drayton Hotel was so Romantic and the staff were amazing. Plus it is centrally located in historic Savanah, making it easy to walk everywhere.
The Olde Pink House—lovely historic home and great food!

Cha Bella- delicious food with some unique options and romantic ambience. They even have swings on their patio!
We absolutely loved Forsyth Park! All the the Squares were beautiful, but Forsyth really is above and beyond.
If possible, travel during the week. We didn’t run into many crowds, which made getting the stroller around easier, especially in smaller restaurants.
We really enjoyed Sweet Potato for lunch! All the kids found something they loved, and the service was so nice. Our waitress was very attentive and it felt real Southern to us.
Definitely the brunch River boat cruise! The food, sites, staff and narrator were wonderful!
Keep it light and don't over schedule. Explore and see all the parks. Bring sunblock, water and good walking shoes!

The Grey and The Olde Pink House are a must. The Pink House is classic savannah and The Grey is art with food. Both restaurants are filled with history.

Perry Lane Hotel was over the top luxury. We have our own personal butler, Kennedi, who made everything perfect!
The Old Pink House is a must! The food, service and atmosphere were all spectacular. I would also highly recommend an architecture/history tour and a ghost tour to hear some of the history and stories of Savannah.

My favorite restaurant was Mrs. Wilkes Diner! It was on the most picturesque street (Jones street). So while we waited we were able to enjoy lots of beautiful scenery. They gave us more than enough food. We ordered for two and they gave us enough food for 5 people. The food was delicious and true southern cooking. I definitely recommend them!
Leave the car behind and walk the beautiful streets otherwise you will miss the essence of Savannah. Definitely stay in a historic hotel if you can. It was a neat and different experience.
Pirate Haus was amazing. The food and drinks were both great.

Segway Tour was so fun, horse drawn carriage is always fun!
The railroad museum is fun and Savannah Candy co is always good when you need to bribe good behavior.
Loved everyplace we ate- but my husband would say the best fried chicken he has ever had came from Sisters of the New South!
Such an easy town to walk and sightsee!
Don’t be discouraged if you didn’t make that Olde Pink House reservation two weeks in advance! We stood in a 30 minute line outside starting at 4:15pm and got the last two seats at the bar (same menu) - and the cocktails were the best we have ever had!!!!!

Bike tour, farmers market, live music along the river, walks on historic Jones St and in the parks, walks and ice cream along the beaches of Tybee island, beautiful, lush gardens and architecture everywhere, picturesque Wormsloe entrance, taking in the new JW Marriott in a restored building on the riverfront, so much to love about this dreamy city!
Look into making dinner reservations before your trip if there are special places you would like to dine! We have had two very good experiences booking long weekend trips to Savannah with vrbo!
We loved Savannah Seafood Shack for a casual low country boil! The atmosphere was laid back, but then right after dinner we could easily go shopping or explore the night life scene.
We loved the River boat dinner cruise. Good food, good music, great views. Definitely pay the extra money for the window seats!
Stay near the River front/Broughton Street. That’s where most of the restaurants and shops are.

Fox & Fig. I am a vegetarian and this place was SO yummy that we went twice. The smoky cashew mac is a MUST! The lavender grey tea latte was also a favorite!
I loved walking around the park.
We stayed at River Street Inn. There was a restaurant on the first floor called Huey's and a bar on the second floor called Tubby's. We loved both of those locations as they were right on the riverfront and had great food, atmosphere, and it was fun to watch all of the people walking along river street. The Olde Pink House was the best, but make reservations way in advance!
We did two ghost tours, toured Bonaventure Cemetery and Wormsloe Plantation, we did a culinary tour, a day trip to Tybee island, a walking history tour, we toured the Mercer-William's house, and the Owens-Thomas House, and we spent lots and lots of time waking the squares, shopping at City Market, walking River Street, eating great food everywhere, ice cream at Leopold's, and so much more. We loved every minute of it, and we were there for a whole week, so lots of time to explore!
We loved staying at River Street Inn! They had a complimentary daily happy hour with rocking chairs on the porch overlooking River Street. We also did a dinner cruise to celebrate our anniversary. It was fun to get out on the water, and the food was great!
We LOVED the Baobab Lounge in the JW Plant Riverside, M Cafe, and The Collin’s Quarter at Forsyth Park. Each had amazing food, service and atmosphere. The Collin’s Quarter was great because the food was incredible and our daughter loved the playground outside.
Our favorite place to spend time was in the new Plant Riverside District! The food, drinks, and atmosphere were soooo good!
We really enjoyed Forsyth Park with our daughter as well as dolphin spotting on the river.

Crystals Beer Parlor! The oldest restaurant in Savannah. The food was delicious especially the fried green tomatoes. All kinds of old pictures hang on the walls. It is a very cool place.
Hop On Hop Off Old Town Trolley was a great tour and we used it as a mode of transportation for the day too! The tour was very informative and told us a lot about the history of Savannah. We also used it to get to Forsyth Park for our pictures that day!
Bring your walking shoes! It is a walking city and we walked everywhere! We only need an Uber to and from the airport. It is a beautiful city with so much to see and walking is the best way.
