Yacht boat sailing tour! It was so much fun and romantic for my husband and I on our honeymoon. It was beautiful and we got to see the volcano and swim in the sea.

What is the best tip for going on your honeymoon to Santorini?

Go during off season- before May or after September because the island is much more private and less crowded. We heard about how crazy it gets in the summer and we would not have had the same romantic experience if we came in the peak busy season.

What are the best places to eat and drink in Santorini?

There were so many! Lucky's Souvlaki in Fira is very dear to our hearts as we met the owner, who was the absolute kindest human with a huge heart (similar to Stathis our photographer.) We loved the view at Pelicanos in Oia as well and had the best service of our trip and very delicious food at Aktaion (which also had a gorgeous view, but more people nearby taking pictures.) Also, the Gelato at Zotos is the best in Greece that we found across all the islands. Don't bother with the other ones if you're in Fira, just go here multiple times as they have 20+ flavors that are all incredible.

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

Wine tasting at Venetsanos for the view and their red wine (best red we had in Greece), dinner and the wine pairing at Artemis Winery, walking around Oia toward sunset and after sunset once the crowds had died down. And of course, our engagement shoot from Stathis we booked through Flytographer which included standing atop an old abandoned church.

There are several Gelato places, we went to all of them! Aressana hotel had rooms with a semi private swimming pool directly outside our hotel room. We spent our time there instead of the main pool where guests trying to relax were sunbathing.

Pyrgos Restaurant had wonderful food and ambiance. Mythos Grill not only had wonderful food but also has Greek music night on Fridays. We danced all night and had SO much fun. Sunset in Ammoudi Bay was breathtaking due to its awesome food and scenic view.

Renting ATVs and roaming around the island had to be my favorite. That way, we saw everything we wanted via fun and easy transportation!

What are the best places to eat and drink in Santorini?

We loved Onar in Firostefani--we went twice during the week we were there! The food was amazing (don't miss out on the tomato balls!) and so was the service. The view was incredible as well! With four kids, we enjoyed how it felt like a nice restaurant without it being so fancy that the kids couldn't find something they'd like. All six of us gave it a thumbs up!

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

It's such a beautiful island, so we loved simply walking and exploring. Our favorite experience was the hike from Fira to Oia--just go early in the day to avoid the highest temperatures and know that if it's windy, that will help make it feel a lot cooler. Bring plenty of water and take your time so you can stop to take pictures. At every turn, the view seemed to get more beautiful! We then found a casual lunch spot and got a taxi back to Fira afterward.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Santorini?

Keep in mind that there are a LOT of stairs on Santorini. It's definitely not stroller-friendly if your kids are young--think uneven cobblestone walkways and stairs upon stairs upon stairs! So if you have really little ones, try to find a place to stay near the top by the roads--Oia has the flattest walking path, so that might be the best area to stay in. With older kids, however, we stayed in Firostefani. We enjoyed that it was a little quieter there. One day we rented a catamaran and another day we went to the beach--both activities would be fun for kids!
