What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Quebec City?

For families traveling with kids, there are a lot of activities you can do. There is the aquarium, water park, indoor amusement, hiking trails, and many more. Make sure to bring clothes that you can change into for the day because the weather is crazy đŸ€Ł it changes every hour (we'll exaggerating) maybe every 2-3 hrs lol! But in August, you could get sunny morning, rainy noon time and sunny afternoon and then rain again at night. Bring ponchos or raincoat every where you go.

What are the best things to do in Quebec City?

Quebec City is the oldest remaining walled city in North America, but it will transport you far beyond it’s city walls. Cobblestone streets, quaint cafes and boutiques on every corner, especially in the picturesque Quartier Petit Champlain. With sweeping views of the Saint Lawrence River, you can't miss the Fairmont Le Chñteau Frontenac, including 1608 Bar for parent's night out. Meander along Rue Saint-Jean for a bit of people watching. As you move further away from the Old Town, you will experience more everyday life.

Eric's Travel Tips for Quebec City

What is your best overall travel tip for Quebec City?

We live in a tourist town so we know what it's like for guest to come and not see the "real" city. We also know what it's like person who lives in a tourist city have to deal with tourist. Quebec City is very much a tourist city. We opted to go during the off season and it was the best thing for us. I would suggest taking it slow and not having things planned because if you meet someone like we did, they may put you on a completely different path of experiences. We intend to come back during "tourist season" because we were told that while you need to more disciplined with your reservations and planning, the city has a different feel during the summer months. I can't wait to see how the winter carnival and winter experience compares to the summer experience.
