The Bourbon House. Always a favorite to visit when we come down. Its always busy, but staff are always awesome, drinks are the best, food is awesome. It is a bit pricy, but well worth the experience.

So, we always hit the French Quarter market. It's a must if you're coming to visit New Orleans. However, there is no lack of activities to choose from. We try to do some different every time we come down.

The Aquarium, the Zoo & the horse carriage rides. All excellent choices for activities to do with small children while visiting. Also, Cafe Du Monde for the beignets. Best in the city.

Justine is our pick for favorite restaurant during this visit to New Orleans. We loved the atmosphere, the decor is lovely, very feminine. The service was great and the food and drinks were excellent!! We went for the jazz brunch and loved the French toast stick and, unexpectedly, the French fries!!

Antoine’s was outstanding. We went there after our engagement and were treated like royalty. The Gumbo Shop also has awesome food and a more lowkey feel and equally nice experience.

Jackson Square is wonderful and is everything and more than the pictures show. Go and try new things and meet people! It’s a wonderful place with a multitude of different personalities and individuals. We really enjoyed the St. Charles streetcar ride. Ride to the end of the line and back and you will see a large part of the city and get to do it in style!

We booked the restaurant August to celebrate our anniversary - it was really good, contemporary and innovative Louisiana cuisine, especially the appetizers and the dessert! Their wine selection is awesome too! Another randomly found bistro Compère Lapin was great too - first time trying Caribbean cuisine and really enjoyed it!

The National WWII Museum was beyond our expectations - very delicate and well curated exhibitions.

Morning Call -- BEIGNETS. Everyone loves Cafe Du Monde and if you are a first timer, you still must go. But if you want THE BEST beignets, you have to go to Morning Call near the cemeteries. Hands down, fluffy, light and amazing.

Plantation tours, City Park (which is larger than central park in NY)

What is the best tip for going on your babymoon to New Orleans?

Lots of walking and we went when it was hot. So bring lots of water if you are out and about and where comfortable shoes. We also opted for the trolley a lot which was a lot of fun.

Our favorite activity was our photo shoot. Second favorite was ziplining which included an interesting sight-seeing/history tour with our driver. Third favorite was seeing Hamilton at the Saenger Theatre. Fourth was walking through downtown & Bourbon street seeing the Mardi Gra spots and classic restaurants (i.e., Ruby Slipper, Oceana).

If there is a good Broadway show check it out. We were fortunate enough to catch Hamilton at the Saenger Theatre while we were there.

The Criollo restaurant was amazing for our first ever oysters rockfeller and a surprise for this amazing light an airy beignets. The Muriel was a great experience for dinner and absolutely delicious selections from beverage to dessert The Two Sisters brunch provided the most selection for New Orleans fair but gave a great jazzy and romantic atmosphere in the gardens

We were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras for the very first time, you have to see Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, the Steam Boat, take the trolley and explore the sites. Interact with all of the bands up and down the street

We traveled with our 5 year old daughter and she was a trooper all the way. You have to be flexible, don’t try to plan too much in a day. Stay hydrated. Keep it fun and exciting for both you and the child. Explore the markets and the food. Let your child know what you are doing so they are prepared and don’t stay out too late because there is plenty to do during the day.
