My top travel tip is come to Montreal with an empty stomach. Montreal is full of amazing food and people. This is the perfect city to get out of your comfort zone and try new foods. Montreal is definently a foodie haven. I would say best way to travel is by metro. If you uber/Lyft you'll miss out on seeing the local parks, bars and restaurants that Montreal has to offer.

Courtney's Travel Tips for Montreal

What is your best overall travel tip for Montreal?

When traveling with kids, make sure you spend time at the Olympic Park and its surrounding areas. Take a ride up the funicular for a gorgeous view of the city. Visit the biodome and the insectarium. In the fall, make a plan to see the amazing Chinese lanterns at the botanical garden! What a beautiful spot on a chilly, fall night! Early in your trip, take a bicycle or electronic scooter tour of the city to get your bearings and see where you'd like to go again. This is always a great way to see a lot of the city in a short amount of time, & to see neighborhoods that are off the beaten path!
