What are the best places to eat and drink in Miami?

We LOVE seafood, so whenever have the opportunity to travel to Miami we ALWAYS make a pit stop at one of our favorite Peruvian restaurant; Chalan's on the Beach. It's a fairly small restaurant but their menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering Peruvian specialties. Our favorites are the Lomo Saltado - their signature beef dish and we always enjoy their Ceviche de Pescado. Its always fresh and very delicious!

What are the best things to do in Miami?

When it comes to what we enjoy the most...we love just laying out on the beach with a nice drink in hand! The sound of the waves are so relaxing. Whenever we want a little more excitement we do enjoy jet skiing.

What are the best places to eat and drink in Miami?

Red! Located in South Beach, it was the perfect spot to visit after our photo shoot with Daniel for Flytographer. It's a very nice steakhouse, white tablecloths, the whole bit. We were nervous that they may not have anything our 5 year old would like, but they were so kind and whipped something up in the back for her that wasn't on the menu. My husband and I shared fresh oysters as well as their tuna tartare which was delicious! We also ordered the filet mignon along with tuna tataki. The entire meal was fabulous and we will definitely be back!

What are the best things to do in Miami?

We loved visiting South Pointe Park to watch the big cruise ships leave the port. They are so much bigger than you think! We also enjoyed heading out to South Beach near Ocean Drive and 13th Street. There is a nice playground in the area before heading down the sand to the ocean. We also had a nice lunch at LT Steak & Seafood inside The Betsy Hotel. It was a perfect meal after a beach day. We also spent an afternoon at J. Wakefield Brewing. They do allow children (just not at the bar, obviously) and their whole vibe is very nerdy with Nintendo games and Star Wars murals and memorabilia. They provided coloring sheets and crayons for our daughter while we sipped on our beer.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Miami?

Uber everywhere. There is so much construction and traffic is a bit of a nightmare. It was nice being able to look out the windows and see our surroundings instead of being stressed out driving. There are showers typically along the beach to wipe off sand and there's a public restroom off Ocean Drive and 14th St. Our daughter also enjoyed watching the dogs play in the dog park at South Pointe Park.

Drive down towards key biscayne, and stop by Crandon Park along the way for some quieter beaches! Bill Baggs state park is also a great place for a cleaner, quieter beach for a small fee, also fun to rent a bicycle and ride along the water in Bill Baggs for a scenic tour.

What is the best tip for planning a bachelorette in Miami?

Book early, and always make a reservation especially at restaurants! Seating a group is difficult on the fly! Usually before 9-930 am on Saturday and Sunday you will find available street parking in wynwood and miracle mile, so try to arrive a little earlier in the morning. Always uber to miami Beach it will save you a massive headache for parking and when you're tired from walking no need to walk back to your car!

I loved being on south beach and just lying in the sunshine. The buildings make it look like something out of a movie from the 1950s/60s

Lots of sunscreen. Make sure you wear flip flops on the beach that you can get wet . The sand was hot enough to burn your soles of your feet in late August.

The Palace was one of the most entertaining brunches I ever had in my life. The show, the food and the staff were fantastic! Also check out the hidden gem Broken Shaker. It's in a hotel on a closed street with construction so hard to locate on your own but the atmosphere is amazing. There is a cool fountain, relaxing music, lounge chairs and a chill vibe. Great place to relax, have a few drinks and bites to eat.

The Little Havanna food tour on Calle Ocho with Miami Locals was the best. Not only do you learn a little about the Cuban culture that settled in Miami but you get to taste some authentic Cuban dishes.
