What are the best places to eat and drink in Maui?

Waikiki brewery in Lahaina. Beautiful view of the water to watch the sunset. Food and staff are great! The Thai food truck in Hana. I’d do the whole road to Hana again just for that pad Thai. We also loved the bar at the pool, Umalu, at our resort. We stayed at the Hyatt resort in Kaanapali.

What are the best things to do in Maui?

Calypso snorkel tour. 10/10 would recommend. The crew was great and really knowledgeable. Snorkeling was so fun and we saw a bunch of sea turtles.

What is the best tip for going on your honeymoon to Maui?

Tell everyone it’s your honeymoon. People were really nice and sometimes got a shoutout. We had to cancel and reschedule this trip three times due to the pandemic. It made it extra special when we were reminded it was our honeymoon... even after a year and a half of waiting.

Our favorite restaurant was Humuhumunukunukuapua'a at Grand Wailea. Excellent food, fun atmosphere, phenomenal service with incredible views.

We loved visiting Ho'okipa Beach Park. Our son played in the shallow tide pools while watching sea turtles coming in and out of the water.

Take advantage of the early mornings! Go for a walk at sunrise and make sure to keep an eye on the water and you just might see a turtle or two peaking out.

Plan to do activities early. The time-change will mess with everyone, and you’ll be up early anyways, and it’s much less crowded anyways!

We mostly enjoyed beach and pool time while we were in Maui. We also love the town of Paia.

The Wailea Ekahi Villages has the perfect balance of beachside pool and private access to Keawakapu beach which is perfect for families! Mornings were calm for swimming and snorkeling but the afternoon wind also made it fun for boogie boarding.

We enjoyed the Burger Shack for burgers, shakes, and the breathtaking views overlooking Honokahua Bay. You have to check out Duke’s on Kaanapali Beach for our favorite dessert, the Hula Pie!

We took surf lessons and went on a kayak snorkel tour with Hawaiian Paddle Sports. Snorkeling to Turtle Town was a highlight of our trip.

Molokini snorkeling was the best. Pacific Whale Foundation ocean tour was INCREDIBLE. The captain and crew were PHENOMENAL!! Hospitality was 10 out of 10. Would do over and over again. The water was warm and super clear. Got to see lots of fish, turtles and dolphins!

Star Noodle. Everything we ate and drank was great. They had some amazing cocktails/mocktailss and fantastic noodles. Make reservations because it fills up fast.

Just walking along the beach was the best part for us.

What is the best tip for going on your babymoon to Maui?

Maui was great for our babymoon. We enjoyed just lounging and looking at the ocean. Getting up and down from laying on the beach was a challenge so I appreciated that our hotel was just off the beach. Sitting by the pool while watching the waves was ideal. My one warning would be: Don't travel TOO close to your due date unless you're blessed with lots of 3rd trimester energy. We were a couple weeks away and the plane ride was uncomfortable all the way there and worse on the way back.
