When in Lyon, one must try traditional Lyonnaise cuisine; I would recommend Le Jura and Le Tire Bouchon. L'Ange di Vin has excellent wine selection and really friendly service.
1. If you plan to rent a car, use the many conveniently located underground parking. They're very secure and reasonably priced. There may be street parking but the rules are very confusing, plus it's impossible to tell if a spot is legal or not (for example, locals park on sidewalks, which we're not sure if it's actually okay). 2. The good restaurants fill up quickly! So do research ahead of time and try to make reservations. If you don't speak French, maybe make a list of restaurants you're interested, then ask the concierge at your accomodation to make reservations for you.
