You must check out at least one royal palace— I highly recommend Hampton Court or Tower of London. Kensington Palace is geared more towards females with exhibits typically on rotation relating to fashion, Queen Victoria and Princess Diana. If any of those three things are up your alley— a must add as well!

Murger Han! It's an authentic Xi'an cuisine concept. Really trendy and super tasty. We stumbled upon it by accident after we were not able to find any pubs open late on a Sunday in the city of London. Highly recommend the spicy braised pork. I'm just sad I can't eat there more frequently.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to London?

Not all kids will enjoy sightseeing and visiting museums all day long. London's got a lot of immersive experiences that are really fun and also appropriate for kids. My 9 year old daughter really enjoyed the London dungeon and Life Sized Monopoly. Peppering the visit with these activities will make it a lot more exciting for the little ones.

What are the best places to eat and drink in London?

London is a wonderful place to try lots of different kinds of food from around the world. We ate Indian food at Cinnamon Kitchen, Ritu, and the Tandoor Chop House; Greek food at Mazi; and Mediterranean food at Nopi - all of them were wonderful. Also fun is Buns&Buns in Covent Garden, which serves delicious stuffed buns and craft cocktails.

What are the best things to do in London?

Teens will love Camden Market, full of vintage shops, funky jewelry, food stalls and music history (we recreated a Clash album cover on the stairs). We also climbed the 500+ stairs to the top of the dome of Saint Paul's Cathedral for views that can't be beat.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to London?

My "kids" are 20 and 17 and they loved the opportunity to have a little freedom in London. It's a very safe place with an easy to use Tube station - I felt comfortable letting them explore together. They found a Thai restaurant for lunch and spent a few hours together in the National Gallery.
