A 30-minute drive from Las Vegas sits Red Rock Canyon, a National Conservation Area sprawling across a vast area of the Mojave desert. Pick one of the many trails and hikes that meander amidst sculptural million-year-old rock formations — a true feast for the eyes! The trails also have gorgeous vegetation, such as cactuses and twisted-looking Joshua trees. The Calico Hills and Moenkopi Loop trails are popular, especially for beginners. They offer great panoramic views of the Wilson Cliffs. **Things to keep in mind for this route: - There is a $22 entrance fee per car which is not included in your shoot cost. - A permit with a fee is also required to shoot in the canyon for commercial and business headshot shoots, which is not included in the shoot cost. The permit has to be acquired at least 30 days in advance of the shoot date. We recommend arranging a private driver, rental car, limo, party bus, or a taxi that is willing to wait for you to finish your session. - It is a one-way loop road, so please plan for an additional 50 minutes to drive after your photo shoot. - There is no cell service at this location, so please be in touch with your photographer the day before your shoot - You will need to make your reservation in advance.
