Podgórze is the former site of Krakow's Jewish Ghetto, but today the district has transformed into a place of beauty, beyond remembrance. You can enter the area by crossing Bernatek’s Bridge to capture lovely vistas of the Vistula River. Once in old Podgórze, take in the historical sites and visit the majestic St. Joseph's Church. Then, stroll through Bednarski Park, and be sure not to miss the intriguing Krakus Mound, a structure believed to be the burial site of the city's founder. From atop the hill, you'll get stunning panoramic views of Krakow.
