This route starts along the roaring Corrib River, at a well-known landmark called the Spanish Arch. Once part of Galway's medieval fortifications, the Spanish Arch now sits between The Long Walk and a friendly riverfront square. Wander along the the different pathways around the Claddagh, and take in the colourful row houses of The Long Walk, made famous by the legendary traditional Irish song Galway Girl.
