Trips to Kronsburg castle but especially Fredericksburg castle is a must!
Finding a spa in advance is key if that’s your kind of thing. There’s also a champagne bar that needs early reservations. So picking what you want to do and making sure they have availability.
The Royal Library garden was absolutely beautiful!
I would highly recommend having a stroller! It makes walking around so much easier! Also, having more changes of clothes than you expect for the little ones is a must!

Tivoli at night--the lights are spectacular!
Try the smørrebrød, soft ice, and cardamom rolls. Spend some time wandering around the city and visit Illums and Magasin to see Danish design (they also offer a tourist discount to non-EU visitors on many items).
Noma for the ambiance and the experience, I mean #1 in the world multiple times. Gasoline Grille for the memories.
Love finding the hidden Trolls. Huge fan of Ancient Aires Spa and Copenhot. Møns Klint is awesome too.

Step away from the tourist destinations. Denmark is known for great design, for contemporary culinary adventures... Go on, explore. Or, do as the locals and, especially when the sun comes out and makes for a beautiful day, step outside, find one of the freely available (and well designed) lounge chairs next to the new theatre building and just relax.
We loved going to the open markets to try out lots of different foods! Our favorite is at Tivoli. Get the smorrebrød!

Copenhagen is a great destination for a young family. We rented an AirBnB that was fully stocked with toddler bed/crib, high chair, and toys for days. We also rented a stroller from Baby GoLightly that made the trip infinitely easier. When the kids starting getting cranky, there always seemed to be a beautiful park or playground around the next corner.
