This National Natural Landmark makes justice to its name. Its unique rock formations will make you feel like you're on a totally different planet. Start your visit at the Visitors Center, where you get panoramic views of the garden, then pick one of the scenic trails to explore further. The Perkins Central Garden Trail is an easy one. It has paved paths that will take you to the base of impressive rock formations. On another trail, the Ridge Trail, you'll hike very close to the rocks and get a unique perspective on this geological wonderland. Other ways to explore the Garden of the Gods include horseback riding and biking. However you choose to do so, you'll get striking views of Pikes Peak.
