What are the best places to eat and drink in Aruba?

The flying fishbone by far. There are so many its hard to pick but we also loved Lola Taco and had a great experience at Papamiento.

What are the best things to do in Aruba?

My husband dove on both trips with Jad's and highly recommends them. I loved Akashi beach and just being in the water. Next time I want to be there for Carnival as we saw a show at the Tamrijn where we stayed and my 3 year old was just captivated. Its hard not to have a good time on this island.

What is the best tip for celebrating your birthday in Aruba?

Definately make as many reservations as you can and its worth the drive to Flying Fishbone !!

What are the best things to do in Aruba?

The Ostrich Farm and Butterfly Farm were great! We also loved the Jeep tour to Conchi and seeing the beautiful national park.

What is the best tip for travelling with kids to Aruba?

Our kids loved it. We did a balance of beach/pool with one activity each day - animal farm, jeep adventure, etc. We’d def have adventures to other beaches beyond our hotel if we’d had the time and the kids would have loved it. So don’t be fearful of adventuring away from the hotel beaches!

Suzanne's Travel Tips for Aruba

What are the best places to eat and drink in Aruba?

Wacky Wahoos - casual, the barracuda was delicious, great service Quinta del Carmen - very romantic setting in the courtyard of a 100 year old home, great service, cocktails, food choices, and dessert! Barefoot - you can eat on the sand and watch the sunset! Great service and food, too!

What are the best things to do in Aruba?

Eagle Beach, natural pools, Casabari Rock Formations, Snorkeling over the WW2 sunken ship, climbing the Hooiberg volcano

What is the best tip for celebrating your anniversary in Aruba?

Make reservations at the restaurants. Don’t think you have to stay in an all-inclusive resort - the island is very safe and accessible. We loved staying away from the tourism and enjoyed eating at local restaurants and renting a car to explore all over the island.

Lisa's Travel Tips for Aruba

What is your best overall travel tip for Aruba?

I would definitely recommend doing a sunset catamaran cruise. One of our favorite restaurants was the Faro Blanco Restaurant. For days when you are not soaking up the sun on the gorgeous white sand beaches and enjoying the clear turquoise water (which are enough in and of themselves), we would recommend renting a car, and driving all around the island from the California Lighthouse in the north to the Alto Vista Chapel, Ayo Rock Formations, and all the way down to Baby Beach on the southern most tip.
