We are a husband and wife photography team with over a decade of experience. It's important that you find someone whose work you LOVE - but we believe it's just as important you find someone who will bring out the best of who you are in your photos! Our photo style is Colorful, Candid, & Fun! We love capturing colorful Hawaii as a backdrop to your stunning photos.

  1. We love having family time at the beach. Our kiddos really love playing at the beach for hours and we have a blast on beach camping trips.
  2. We definitely couldn't live without having a good book on the go.
  3. Rui was born on the Azores islands, off Portugal. He also speaks Portuguese and Spanish.

We absolutely loved our photos with Rui. We loved the sunset pictures and they’re just gorgeous. He’s obviously been doing this awhile because he knew right where to go and directed us well. He gave us easy directions on where to meet him and engaged with our 4 boys the entire time. He was super easy going and a pleasure to take pictures with. He was super patient with our children which always makes the pictures so much easier when it doesn’t feel rushed. We’d highly recommend Marissa and Rui!

We had a wonderful experience with Rui in Kona! We have an 18-month old toddler who isn't the biggest fan of photos, and Rui was excellent with him - super patient and understanding! He captured a beautiful mix of posed and candid, portraits and landscapes. We received our album super quickly and would happily use him again. Thanks, Rui!!

Rui was awesome to work with! He did a fantastic job, he had lots of creative ideas and he had patience with our large group of kids and grandparents. Rui was INCREDIBLE! So kind, funny, attentive and listened to what we envisioned...his artistic qualities made our family photos stunning. I would hands down, ask him to do another session if we lived on the Big Island.
