Travel Story
We went to Italy on a last minute trip. It was the best surprise trip! We went to Pisa, Florence, Bologna and Venice. Italy is intense, vibrant, fun, beautiful, and of course: TASTY - the best food and drinks are there! However, VENICE, is something else! The history, the alleys, the buildings, the canals, the gondolas, the people! We loved everything about Venice, we are already planning going back there!
Travel Tips
Most of tourists climb the San Marco's tower to have a panoramic view of Venice. But instead, we decided to avoid the long queues and went to Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. Now, that's the best panoramic view of Venice and surroundings to be honest. Definitely worth it! Watching the sunset from San Giorgio Maggiore Church is the most romantic memories we have of Venice! After that, we got lost exploring Venice by foot and ended up at All'Anfora for a late dinner, great service, delicious food. Also, Visit Burano! If you were to pick one island (apart from the main one), I'd recommend this one only! Burano is a Picturesque fisherman's island, the colored houses and its casual eateries serving seafood from the lagoon stands out! Do get there as early as possible since it gets busy very fast.
