Bonjour, Quebec City!

Travel Story

My husband and I are both turning fifty this year and we wanted to take a trip somewhere we hadn't been before. We decided on Montreal and Quebec City. We fell in love with Quebec City! It felt like we were in France but yet so much closer to home. The architecture, the food, the history...we were entranced by all of it. Our favorite memory will be dining on the veranda at Bistro Sous Le Fort with an incredible view and striking up a conversation with the couple at the next table and talking with them for almost three hours! We also loved doing a food tour to five local restaurants, a bicycling tour to Montmorency Falls and a laid-back day driving around Ile d'Orleans. And we're so glad we booked a session with Elisa from Flytographer because we now have beautiful photos to help us remember this enchanting city.

Travel Tips

Our favorite meals were at Bistro Sous Le Fort, Chez Temporel, L'entrecote Saint-Jean and two lovely places on Ile d'Orleans: Panache Mobile and the restaurant at Cassis Monna & Filles. We definitely recommend visiting Montmorency Falls, blocking off most of a day for Ile d'Orleans, taking a tour or two to learn the history of Quebec City (we always love a good food tour combined with historical information), a visit to the Citadelle and just exploring the many beautiful streets inside the walled city, preferably at a leisurely pace.
