Travel Story
My husband had a two week business trip to Paris and I quickly agreed to join him. Paris is one of our all-time favorite cities in the world. This was our second time to travel to Paris during September. It is our favorite month to visit the City of Light, especially during European Heritage Days when so many of the palaces and buildings are open to the public for two days only. The weather was also picture perfect. One of my favorite memories from our trip is walking in Luxembourg Garden every morning. That is why we chose the garden for the location of our Flytographer photo session. This is the second time we have used Flytographer in Paris. We greatly enjoyed working with Olga as she understood exactly what we wanted from our shoot plus gave us wonderful suggestions on other shots. If possible, Flytographer will be part of all of our future vacations. Thank you, Flytographer, for helping us preserve our precious Paris memories!
Travel Tips
These are my top "must-do's" for Paris: Favorite fine dining restaurant - Le Train Bleu in Gare de Lyon train station The renovation of this restaurant is just phenomenal! Go for lunch and book on thefork.com to get a discount. If you love wine, indulge in a wine-paired Friday lunch at Bistrot du Sommelier. This is one of our favorite dining experiences ever! Classical music concert at Sainte-Chapelle. Go to the first concert in the evening while it is still light so you can see the beautiful stained glass windows. The music is magical in this setting. Spend the morning at the beautiful Luxembourg Garden. If you have children with you (or even if you don't!), catch a marionette show at Theatre du Luxembourg. Pere Lachaise Cemetery - look for the celebrity graves or just wander around and take in the beauty of this place. Favorite jazz clubs- Caveau de la Huchette and Duc des Lombards Favorite market street (especially if you have access to a kitchen) - Rue Mouffetard Favorite splurge - seeing an opera at Palais Garnier. It's my favorite memory of Paris. Or for a more budget-friendly option, take the self-guided tour of Palais Garnier.
