Travel Story

London was the obvious choice for our family's first trip to Europe. There is no language barrier and the city is very accommodating to families and children. We decided to avoid the Summer crowds and headed to London over our children's Fall Break in October. The weather was perfect and unseasonably sunny and warm - except the day we had pictures taken. Ha! This was the trip of a lifetime for everyone in our family and definitely instilled the travel bug in each of us. We can't wait to plan our next trip to Europe and make more unforgettable memories.

Travel Tips

Public transportation is free for the little ones and every major site or museum we visited had a children's tour. We enjoyed staying in Kensington and using every form of public transportation available just outside our flat. We loved visiting the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace were must visits for our Royal Family fans. Visiting Greenwich and the Prime Meridian was a highlight for everyone as well - we loved taking the Thames River Cruise from Westminster. Hamley's Toy Store is a must for children as well as Picadilly Circus. Our family had so much fun and really enjoyed our meal at Gordon Ramsey's Heddon Street Kitchen. One of our favorite things was actually getting our photos taken by Jimmy! He is a delight to work with and a wonderful tour guide. The kids had so much fun with him and we all loved learning about the "time tunnel" and the old tea factories from the 1800's.
