Travel Story
Our oldest daughter is about to start her final year of high school. We decided this might be the last summer when we can have a family vacation together before she goes off to college. Two years ago we travelled to Paris and London so this year we wanted to take the kids to Italy where my husband and I honeymooned over 10 years ago. In almost 12 days we covered Milan, Florence, Rome, Italy, and Reykjavik, Iceland. Florence will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Travel Tips
While travelling through Italy we enjoyed so many favorite activities but our highlights were a Pizza and Gelato Cooking Class in a Tuscan Farmhouse and a Fiat 500 Tour of Tuscany both offered by Walkabout Tours in Florence. Our entire family including our 17 year old and 10 year old twins were hands-on making farm to table gelato and pizza and had a wonderful experience! Our Fiat 500 tour was incredible! We braved the streets of Florence and drove through Tuscany caravan style with 2 other Fiats and a flurry of Vespa scooters for almost 3 hours and finished the experience with lunch and espresso at a Tuscan farmhouse with amazing views. Highly recommend!
