Travel Story

We had never been to South America, and Peru was a great introduction. We visited the Amazon, Lima, Machu Picchu and Cusco. Peru has a little bit of everything and it was an amazing trip. The Amazon has amazing animals we’d never seen before like sloths, and we stayed in a treehouse. We spent most of our time in Lima in the Miraflores area, which was amazing with the city high up on the cliff and the beach below. Machu Picchu should be on EVERYONE’s bucket list - words won’t share how amazing it was. Cusco was our last stop and our flytographer photos were taken the day we left. Cusco is a quaint but bustling city, which we loved. The culture is incredible. It was a bittersweet way to end an amazing trip!

Travel Tips

In Cusco, we highly recommend Calle De Medio, which is a great people watching spot if you sit on the balcony that overlooks the Plaza de Adams. Creperia La Boheme was by far our favorite meal in Cusco. Great crepes, but everything else was amazing too. We were in town during the World Cup, which was fun because everyone was down to cheer for whatever team they’d picked from that game!
