Travel Story
My husband and I were celebrating our 5th Wedding Anniversary and my husband's birthday! We visited many cities in Northern Europe and Amsterdam was our first stop on a whirlwind adventure! As soon as we booked our plane tickets, we knew we would want to have professional photos made to document our special trip! We chose to have a photoshoot during our visit to the Keukenhof Gardens and we were so excited for the beautiful flowers to be the backdrop for our birthday/anniversary photos! The Gardens were even more beautiful than we ever could have dreamed and we had the sweetest time admiring all of the gorgeous flowers while taking our photos. Steven was so much fun to work with and made our entire experience fun from start to finish! Our photoshoot in the Keukenhof Gardens was a definite highlight of our entire trip and we will treasure our lovely photos for as long as we live! We had a blast visiting the Keukenhof Gardens and we hope to visit again one day with our family!
Travel Tips
My husband and I would whole-heartedly recommend visiting Amsterdam during tulip season in the Spring! The Keukenhof Gardens are only open for a couple of weeks during the year (late March-early May) so going in April is prime time to see gorgeous flowers! We also found that good rain gear was a must but even if it rains, Amsterdam is incredibly charming and the rain won't dampen your visit. We loved eating stroopwafels as we strolled through the alleys and especially enjoyed the ones covered in powder sugar with warm chocolate sauce to dip them in! Watch out for all the bikes and be sure to stay out of the way! Also, the Anne Frank House is worth seeing but be sure to book your tickets way in advance! We loved our time in Amsterdam and found the city, canals, flowers, and sites to be incredibly fun and interesting! Amsterdam will always hold a special place in our hearts because it's where we got to celebrate 5 years of marriage and my husband's birthday! We hope to visit the city with our famiy one day and know there is still so much left for us to enjoy and explore!
