I'm an island girl at heart and can't get enough of Maui's beauty. I love to explore the island with fresh eyes through the people I get to photograph. My favourite photos are the ones that capture genuine moments! My goal is to include a lot of laughs and love in the galleries that I deliver.

Aloha! My name is Taena (pronounced Tay-na). I was born and raised here on Maui. I am a photographer that also loves to surf, travel, and relax with my Ohana. I specialize in family portraitures and fine art. The love of adventure, travel and culture has brought me to this beautiful island of Maui from my homeland of Kathmandu, Nepal. I have a degree in Fine Arts for Photography. What excites me as an artist is the act of capturing a moment that’s gone forever. Coming from a family of photographers, I understand how important it is to live life to the fullest and relive those memories through photos.

I'm East Coast born but my heart is in Hawaii. I also love to travel and completely immerse myself in the culture of each country. I strive to make a genuine connection with each individual I photograph, producing authentic laughter, love, and smiles. Aesthetically, my style is light and vibrant and emotionally, joyful and authentic. When I'm not photographing people, I grab my camera and dive into the ocean, swimming with sea turtles, dolphins, and whatever other underwater creatures I can find.
