What is your love story?

Me and Nichole were best friends before we were in a relationship. We talked about everything and always joked around. We eventually grew closer and closer and one day we both realized we were in love. We took leaps of faith and decided to trust each other. She is the person I always want to share things with first, ask questions about important things to first, and do anything with first. I look at her and know she is everything right for me in this world. That’s how I knew she was the one.

What made you choose this proposal destination?

New Orleans is a vibrantly unique city steeped in history, culture, and romance. I could not think of a better place to ask the love of my life to marry me.

What is your proposal story?

We spent the day with my parents exploring the French Quarter. We ate good food, walked the market, listened to jazz, and enjoyed delicious drinks. We were running slightly behind and got stuck behind a second line band on the way to the proposal site. Only in New Orleans! We eventually made it, met our photographer, and took some family pictures as the cover for the photo shoot was that it was a shoot with my parents. Then the time came for the moment in Jackson Square and she said YES!

Best tip for proposing in New Orleans

Ubers can run late especially in the French Quarter, and don’t get too caught up in one location. There’s so many great places in the city that you can find some character and charm on every corner. Just go with the flow and allow the city to present itself to you.
