The Kimono experience and Tea Ceremony at Maikoya Tea House was the highlight for our family. Our family of 6 each got to choose our own Kimonos and the women had our hair done as well. We were then given time to take photos in one of their several private gardens. We had a private tea ceremony were we learned about the tradition of the tea ceremony and was able to make our own tea. Everyone visiting Kyoto should take part in a tea ceremony.

Doubles Late Night - hands down, best smash burger out there. We actually went back for another round of burgers the last night of our trip because we couldn't stop thinking about them. The bar is such a vibe, there's not a lot of places you can sit at the bar and watch reruns of Baywatch in between the Corona's and tequila shots that are on special.

Eat, walk, drink, repeat. The Scandinavian Spa felt like a hidden gem because it was so quiet when we went. 10/10 recommend on the last day of holidays to rest and reset before going back to real life.
