Travel Story

We've always wanted to go to NYC and what better time to go there than the blizzard-y winter! My husband and I have only lived in places dominated by the sun so seeing some snow was pleasantly refreshing. Our favorite memory is just walking down the streets taking in the city's rich metropolitan culture.

Travel Tips

FOOD Ditch your usual fancy sit down restaurants and dive into the many mom and pop joints. If you are a sandwich lover, a visit to Katz's is a must! SIGHTSEEING The High Line Park is a great place to go, with the Chelsea Market just beneath it. Apart from the usual touristy fare, make some time to visit the lesser known but equally beautiful spots in NYC. Make sure to take in a Broadway show, too! We made sure to see at least two. SHOPPING Our photographer, Jacqueline, recommended this hip shopping neighborhood in Williamsburg, on Bedford Ave. There is a lot of great stuff on this street but don't limit yourself! Explore the cross streets which have good stores as well.
