Travel Story

This trip is extra special because this is the first time we are travelling as a family. This year also marks our 2nd year wedding anniversary. Because Hawaii is a very special place for us, we decided this time to explore the beauty of Maui. We love the hawaiian/island life- very laid back and slow paced. My most favourite memory from this trip would have to be seeing Liam’s reaction as he touched the sand and water with his feet for the first time in Kamaole Beach. He didn’t quite like the soft sand and the sound of the waves. But after a few more trips to the beach, he finally enjoyed being by the water, smiling and laughing:)

Travel Tips

My top must see is the sunrise in Haleakalā. The scenic Road to Hana is also something many people will enjoy. I was hesitant to do this but good thing I was convinced by my family. The view was amazing! Beach hopping of course if you want to just hang out and enjoy the sun:) (We went to Maui on the last week of September and it was REALLY HOT!) If you’re travelling with a little one, Maui Ocean Center is a fun place for them to discover different marine life found in Maui. If you like Malasadas, go to Sugar Beach bake shop. Go early though-they only sell them until 10am. If you want to cool down, head over to Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave ice which is right beside the bake shop:) If you’re looking for great poke (diced raw fish), Foodland has great selection:)
