Travel Story
My husband and I fell in love with Maui four years ago on our first family vacation to Hawaii, when our daughter was just a baby. We have since returned a few times to bask in the sun, snorkel in the warm waters and enjoy the sugary sand. To share these memories with our children and watch them play, laugh and explore together in such a beautiful location is very meaningful to us. We decided to capture these memories on our recent family vacation with a photo shoot at the beach. Our inspiration for this family vacation was simple; time to connect and be present together, living in the moment and relishing in nature's playground. My favourite memory of this particular trip was swimming in the ocean together as a family for the first time.
Travel Tips
We highly recommend renting a vehicle and driving around the island, exploring various towns and beaches in Kaanapali, Paia, Lahaina, Wailea, and Napili, as they each have their own vibe and gorgeous scenery. Also, we love to stop for dinner or happy hour at restaurants like Duke's or Leilanis where the food is amazing, and the views are even better. Most of all, we really enjoy finding new snorkeling spots, where we have swam with a variety of fish, turtles and even a manta ray!
