Travel Story

I am originally from Los Angeles, and that is where I am located now, but lived in London for almost 13 years. When I returned to LA 4 years ago I started ballet classes with a goal of getting en pointe before I turned 50 (goal achieved). Now when I travel I love to take ballet pics in various locations, but this is the first time I have had a professional take the pics, such a great experience! I still have a flat in Notting Hill, so chose a neighbourhood in that area to do the pics in. My photographer, Jackie, was creative, collaborative and we had a lot of fun on our quick 60 mins shoot. So glad I went outside my comfort zone and booked the shoot!

Travel Tips

As someone that lived in London, my top tips are: - wear comfortable shoes. It is a very walkable city and the best way to see it if you have the time. - compared to most large cities, the underground is safe and clean, use that as your next option if you can’t walk. Same with the trains for longer trips. - Get outside of London for at least a day, Bath is a good over night trip and easy by train. - Notting Hill, ,my ‘hood, has a lot of antique shops (Portobello Road) and current shops (Westbourne Grove). My favourite restaurants/bars/pubs: Churchill Arms, Beach Blanket Babylon, E&O, Negozio Classica, Ottolengi ...There are so many!
