Travel Story
Our trip to Italy was out last big adventure together before my fiancé started medical school. We have never been to Florence before so I thought this would be the perfect spot to pop the question. My favorite memory was walking around the Boboli Gardens during the day and then went up to the Piazzale Michelangelo/ Miniato in the evening. The sunset and view of the city was absolutely breathtaking!
Travel Tips
Highly HIGHLY recommend doing a cooking class in Florence at “Cook Eat Italian”. It is in a persons home/ kitchen and is an intimate setting. Walking over to the Boboli Gardens was a nice diversion from all the crowds around the museums and Duomo. The gardens are part of the palace- just remember that you need to get separate tickets for the palace and gardens. Going to the Piazzale Michelangelo in the evening for sunset is the best view of Florence. We recommmend taking a taxi up to the top (because it’s a hike) and then walking back down into town.
