Hila and Dvir spent part of their honeymoon in Los Angeles<\/a> and treated themselves to the finer things in life during their whirlwind stay. \u201cLos Angeles<\/a> was one third of our honeymoon. We also visited Maui<\/a>, Hawaii and Las Vegas<\/a> (where we also booked Flytographer). We only had 80 hours in L.A., so we had to be quick. We landed at 8:00 am (after a 16-hour flight from Israel) and immediately started running.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first tour started at 10:00 am and included the Grove<\/a> and Farmers Market<\/a>, Venice Beach<\/a>, fancy shops and the very cool SLS Hotel<\/a> (designed by Phillip Stark, who also designed our former house back home). We had an incredible massage at the hotel\u2019s Ciel Spa<\/a> \u2013 worth every penny.\u201d \u2013 Hila<\/p>\n

Hila and Dvir ended up scoring third row tickets to a Lakers game through a family friend while they were in town, but if you don\u2019t expect the same, have no fear. We talked to Flytographer Dipan<\/a> and got his favourite local picks for a weekend in L.A.<\/p>\n

EAT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Noshing on outstanding Mexican food is a must for any California trip. Dipan\u2019s favourite is Ortega 120<\/a>, where you can tuck into a platter of lamb shank birria, pork belly with Mexican grits, or pan-seared red snapper. Vegetarian options are also available.<\/p>\n

For a chic, waterfront dining spot, head to R\/10 Social House<\/a>. Everything is made in-house, from pickles and cured meats to condiments and ice cream. Visit during their daily social hour and enjoy a classic cocktail paired with inspired small plates.<\/p>\n

For a romantic dinner, there\u2019s no better place than Old Tony\u2019s<\/a>, specializing in seafood and cocktails with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. Celebrate a special night out in style with lobster tails or crab legs.<\/p>\n

For stellar views of Los Angeles, Griffith Observatory<\/a> is the place to be. Be there before sunset to catch the Hollywood Sign and the city illuminate as dusk sets in.<\/p>\n

There is so much to do at the iconic Santa Monica Pier<\/a>. Start with a ride on the historic carousel or a spin on Pacific Park\u2019s<\/a> Ferris wheel. Better yet, go for a ride on both.<\/p>\n
