1. Beacon Hill Park<\/b><\/h2>\n

At the edge of downtown Victoria, you\u2019ll find Beacon Hill Park, the biggest park in all of Greater Victoria. This is a fabulous spot to view local nature. \ud83c\udf33 The 740,000 square-meter park is home to protected ecosystems, such as the Garry Oak ecosystem prevalent throughout the city.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beacon Hill Park has an extensive pathway system. Take time to wander through the winding trails. You will come across several ponds, stone bridges, vibrant floral gardens, and gorgeous weeping willows. The park is also a popular leisure site, with tennis courts, lawn bowling, a cricket pitch, playgrounds, and other facilities available for use.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a family-friendly activity, be sure to visit Beacon Hill Children\u2019s Farm, where you can view peacocks, sheep, pigs, and more. 2. Dallas Road Beach<\/b><\/h2>\n

After exploring Beacon Hill Park, you\u2019ll find Dallas Road at the park\u2019s southern border. This is a popular walking spot for locals \u2014 and for good reason! The Dallas Road waterfront has a four-kilometer pathway that stretches the entire coastline from Ogden Point Breakwater to Ross Bay. From walking to jogging to rollerskating to cycling, you\u2019ll see people enjoying all types of activities along the pathway. On a windy day, you\u2019ll even see parasailers and kiteboarders taking advantage of the waves! \ud83e\ude82<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Parliament Buildings<\/b><\/h2>\n

As a prominent feature on Victoria\u2019s Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings are an iconic Victoria landmark. With style described as \u2018free classical and renaissance\u2019, architect Francis M. Rattenbury experimented with varying architectural techniques to create this majestic building. The building also showcases some of British Columbia\u2019s own local resources, including granite, slate, and copper.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Parliament Buildings are surrounded by lush green grounds, complete with an impressive water fountain at the front of the building. This is a great spot for an incredible photo! 4. Empress Hotel<\/b><\/h2>\n

Just steps away from the Parliament Buildings is one of Victoria\u2019s top hotels, the Fairmont Empress. The hotel was built in the early 20th century for the Canadian Pacific Railway and is recognized as a National Historic Site due to its chateau-style architecture. \ud83c\udff0<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Chinatown<\/b><\/h2>\n

Victoria\u2019s Chinatown pays homage to the culture brought to Canada by Chinese immigrants over 150 years ago. Now a National Historic Site, Chinatown is home to a vibrant mix of traditional Chinese culture and modern businesses.
