1. Bonneville Salt Flats<\/b><\/h2>\n

Travelling to another planet has never been easier. People from around the world come to walk, run and dance along this natural phenomenon. A blindingly white salt crust covers 46 square miles for truly one-of-a-kind views \u2026 just don\u2019t forget sunscreen and a hat! \ud83d\udc52  From sunrise to sunset, it\u2019s hard not to take incredible photos, and dozens of films have even featured this unique spot. It\u2019s a great destination for a day trip out of Salt Lake City or a stop along the way to road trip through Utah\u2019s many national parks. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

2. Tibble Fork Reservoir<\/b><\/a><\/h2>\n

Nestled in the American Fork Canyon, the sparkling blue water of the lake is framed by towering mountains. 3. Neff\u2019s Canyon<\/b><\/a><\/h2>\n

You\u2019re rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as you begin to explore the stunning and secluded wilderness of Utah \u2026 all just a short drive from downtown. If you\u2019re short on time but want to escape into nature with a relatively easy climb into a glacial bowl, this trail is for you. Bonus: it\u2019s dog-friendly, unlike many of the surrounding hikes in the Cottonwoods! \ud83d\udc36<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

4. Saltair<\/b><\/a><\/h2>\n

The Great Saltair is a historic pavilion that dates back to 1870 and has become an important cultural symbol to the city. Intended as a \u201cConey Island of the West,\u201d it steadily fell into disrepair until the original structure burned down in 1970. The whimsical spirit of the original building still remains in the rebuilt resort as it looks out over the great salt lake. Fans of unique architecture and sweeping views should add this spot to their list! \u26ea<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

5. Salt Lake Valley<\/b><\/h2>\n

Temple Square is an icon rooted in Latter-day Saint pioneer history that dates back to the first settlers of the Salt Lake Valley. The neo-gothic style of the Salt Lake Temple and surrounding grounds are pure serenity, and whether you\u2019re religious or not, you\u2019re invited to wander. Other interesting buildings include the ornate Assembly Hall, Salt Lake Tabernacle and the Deuel Pioneer Log Home.
