One of Seattle\u2019s biggest draws is the abundance of breathtaking nature surrounding the city. Jessica\u2019s favourite hikes include Naches Peak Loop Trail<\/a>, Big Four Ice Caves<\/a>, Lake 22<\/a>, Fremont Lookout Trail<\/a>, and Lake Serene<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even if you don\u2019t have time to get outside the city for a hike, you\u2019ll find plenty of beautiful green spaces within the city for an afternoon stroll or a picnic, such as Discovery Park<\/a>, Seattle\u2019s largest park with breathtaking views over Puget Sound, Olympic Sculpture Park<\/a>, an open green space dotted with art, or Kerry Park<\/a>, located on Queen Anne Hill with iconic views of Seattle\u2019s skyline.<\/p>\n

Just a 35-minute ferry ride from Seattle is Bainbridge Island<\/a>, a wonderful escape from the city for nature lovers, foodies and art enthusiasts. Gorgeous hiking opportunities abound thanks to the island\u2019s prime location in Puget Sound. Markets are bursting with fresh, seasonal produce, as well as an abundance of local brewers, distillers and vintners to help wash it all down. The First Friday art walk is a great chance to get a taste of the island\u2019s ample creativity.<\/p>\n

For a neighbourhood feel within the city, downtown Ballard<\/a> is a great choice. Ballard\u2019s farmers market is top notch, open Sundays from 10 am \u2013 3 pm. Thanks to a plethora of vintage consignment shops coupled with endless hip food options, you\u2019d be hard pressed to run out of things to do and see in this friendly neighbourhood.<\/p>\n
