The last time they visited NYC was in May 2008, when they received the exciting news that California was now performing same-sex marriages. After returning to their home base in Paris, they hopped on a plane only 6 weeks later to perform the ceremony.&nbsp;As Clark says, this year\u2019s holiday trip was&nbsp;\u201c<em>our first vacation back in New York City since t<\/em><em>hat fateful day when we first considered the possibility of getting married in the States! <\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe65d1cdd3_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Clark, an American LGBTQ media consultant and ambassador of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iglta.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IGLTA<\/a>, moved to Paris over 15 years ago. One year later, he&nbsp;met his future husband Vincent in the&nbsp;Paris Gay Men\u2019s Choir, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/choeurmelomen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e9lo\u2019Men<\/a>. The pair&nbsp;was&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Civil_solidarity_pact\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">P<\/a><a href=\"\/\">ASC\u2019ed<\/a> (French Civil Union) in 2007, then whisked off to California in 2008 for their US&nbsp;ceremony. In 2014, the California marriage was officially recognized in France, so now they are legally married in both France and the US!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe65eb32bd_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOne of our favorite things to do when traveling is just to stroll around a city, taking in the sights and letting our day unfold as it may. We like to \u2018live like locals\u2019&nbsp;which is why the shots of us in the street are particularly apropos. We included a&nbsp;walk down a secluded street in Greenwich Village (the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cherrylanetheatre.org\/history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cherry Lane Theatre&nbsp;<\/a>shots), photos in the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Christopher_Street\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Christopher Street&nbsp;<\/a>Subway Station, and shots in front of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilrights.org\/archives\/2009\/06\/449-stonewall.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stonewall Inn<\/a>, all gay icons.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Clark<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe660a2c05_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe661ebff2_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe66342030_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe6648990a_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe665d2030_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOne of the funnier moments of our Flytographer shoot occurred when [Flytographer]&nbsp;Johnny suggested we go into a restaurant so he could shoot us from the exterior. The restaurant was actually closed at the time (the staff were having their afternoon meal, preparing for the evening rush) but the owner graciously allowed to let us sit at a table while Johnny took pictures of us from outside.&nbsp;We suddenly noticed that tourists were stopping to take pictures from the opposite corner of the street.&nbsp;We thought we were enjoying a brief moment of fame,&nbsp;until we later found out from the restaurant owner that the building was used for the exterior shot of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/gonyc.about.com\/od\/photogalleries\/ss\/tv-movie-location-photos_3.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apartment on the television series \u2018Friends<\/a>\u2018!\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Clark<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe6673747d_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\" The \"> The \u201cFriends\u201d Apartment! <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe668aba2d_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe66a7ec70_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe66c24f2e_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/5acfe66dabb23_FLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgFLYTOGRAPHER%20|%20NYC%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOur Flytographer&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/vacation-photographers\/your-vacation-photographer-in-new-york-meet-johnny\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johnny<\/a>&nbsp;was great \u2013 really fun to work with and very professional. He had lots of great ideas, really made us feel comfortable and relaxed. At the end of the shoot, it felt like we\u2019d been hanging out with a close friend all afternoon! He really captured us and our personalities. The photos are \u2018sublime\u2019&nbsp;as Vincent says and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! Johnny is a true pro (I think he even managed to shave a few years and a few pounds off us as well \u2013 he worked his magic!).
