This city<\/em><em>&nbsp;had been on my bucket list for a few years. I love the simplicity and streamlined forms of Scandinavian design (not to mention the tall, handsome, blue-eyed, blonde Vikings who hail from this Northern country!), so I wanted to pay a visit to the place where all this great design and architecture originated.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5acfffffa58d9_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad000007d938_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static1.squarespace.com\/static\/52b8bc8de4b089a76bb35de5\/530a5f63e4b05c1584a91aab\/5612e556e4b054862e31877f\/1444078937363\/Solo+Travel+to+Prague+and+Stockholm+%7C+Prague+and+Stockholm+Vacation+PhotographerSolo+Travel+to+Prague+and+Stockholm+%7C+Prague+and+Stockholm+Vacation+Photographer.jpgSolo+Travel+to+Prague+and+Stockholm+%7C+Prague+and+Stockholm+Vacation+PhotographerSolo+Travel+to+Prague+and+Stockholm+%7C+Prague+and+Stockholm+Vacation+Photographer?format=original\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>One of the things I loved about Stockholm was the fact that it\u2019s surrounded by water. The boats, the clinking of the masts \u2026 it makes it more human to me. And it\u2019s a city where you can walk to most things. Stockholm\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitstockholm.com\/en\/See--do\/Attractions\/gamla-stan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gamla Stan<\/a>&nbsp;(the Old Town) is pretty and picturesque; the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vasamuseet.se\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vasa Museum<\/a> is impressive and really well done; but one of the things that I loved the most was the <a href=\"http:\/\/fotografiska.eu\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fotografiska<\/a>. I love modern photography, and the gallery there was spectacular.&nbsp;I would definitely put it on the list of anyone with a passion for the arts!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad0000205c0c_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\" Flytographer: Matilda in Stockholm \"> Flytographer: Matilda in Stockholm<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>PRAGUE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad00002dcaba_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMuch has been written about Prague and its beauty. Even though I grew up there, Prague always manages to pull at my heartstrings. Venture downtown and everywhere you look, there is a beautiful cobblestoned street, a golden spire, a house sign to catch your eye. Take a stroll late at night when it is magically lit up, and you could easily picture yourself being in a fairy tale.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad0000373277_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad0000485b2d_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad0000562ed3_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHaving a shoot with Flytographer allowed me to re-visit some of my favorite places. I took in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prague.eu\/en\/object\/places\/526\/wallenstein-garden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vald\u0161tejnsk\u00e1 Garden<\/a> with its spectacular greenery and views of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrad.cz\/en\/prague-castle\/prague-castle-tourist-information\/visit-of-prague-castle.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prague Castle<\/a>, and then headed over to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.czechtourism.com\/c\/prague-kampa-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kampa Island<\/a> where I used to go with my grandfather as a little girl to see the old mill wheel and the Certovka Canal (Devil\u2019s Stream). It was wonderful to get those memories captured in photographs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad0000656da4_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>For those visiting Prague, I would encourage everyone to take a little detour from the busy Karlova &amp; Nerudova streets and get lost in the side streets of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pragueexperience.com\/places.asp?PlaceID=662\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mal\u00e1 Strana<\/a>&nbsp;(Lesser Town), then find your way to Ledebursk\u00e1&nbsp;or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vrtbovska.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vrtbovsk\u00e1&nbsp;Gardens<\/a> (the views of the Prague castle are even more spectacular from there).&nbsp;Afterwards, have a leisurely brunch on the terrace of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palffy.cz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">P\u00e1lffy Palace<\/a>, or join the many busy locals for coffee at the <a href=\"http:\/\/cafesavoy.ambi.cz\/en\/#index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Caf\u00e9 Savoy<\/a>.\u201d <\/em>\u2013 Jana<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad000072da87_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad000081cee6_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/flyphotoprod.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/5ad00008a303f_Solo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer.jpgSolo%20Travel%20to%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20|%20Prague%20and%20Stockholm%20Vacation%20Photographer\" alt=\" Flytographer: Eliska in Prague \"> Flytographer: Eliska in Prague<\/p>\n<p>Looking for more inspiration for your next solo-travelling adventure?
