Best Restaurants in Brooklyn<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Riverdel Cheese Shop<\/a> \u2013 \u201cSince I\u2019ve gone vegan two and a half years ago, one of the things I\u2019ve missed the most is artisanal cheese. I discovered Riverdel this year and it\u2019s been a miracle! They offer a variety of artisanal vegan cheese (my favourite being Cheezehound<\/a>\u2019s fresh mozzarella), gourmet foods and amazing made-to-order sandwiches.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Paulie Gee\u2019s<\/a> \u2013 \u201cThis is one of my most favourite recent discoveries. I love that I can bring my friends here and also have a full vegan menu (including desserts!). There\u2019s always a long line so we like to put our name down and grab a drink down the street while we wait for a seat. My favourite pizza is the In Ricotta Da Vegan made with homemade \u2018ricotta\u2019 and \u2018sausage.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Must See Attractions in Brooklyn<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Red Hook neighbourhood \u2013 \u201cRed Hook is a place I love to bring friends who are visiting from out of town. Walking through the streets is a wonderful experience, it\u2019s a very tight-knit community, especially in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, and I love how many local shops are still thriving like dive bar Bait and Tackle<\/a> (where my boyfriend\u2019s band The Junkie Twins<\/a> will often perform), Steve\u2019s Key Lime Pie<\/a> and Red Hook Winery<\/a>. I even love some of the newer establishments such as Brooklyn Crab<\/a> (I live for their vegan crab cakes) and Hometown BBQ<\/a> (I love their killer drinks). I especially love Red Hook during the summer and watching the sunset off of the promenade that overlooks the Statue of Liberty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket<\/a> \u2013 \u201cWhen I\u2019m not shooting weddings, I always love walking through Grand Army Plaza and experiencing their fresh produce and baked goods. It always makes me feel like I\u2019m in Upstate NY and I love how they offer samples of whichever fruit is currently in season. I love purchasing their apple cider in Fall and fresh peaches in Summer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Bushwick Brooklyn \u2013 \u201cIt\u2019s rare to find communities in Brooklyn that feel like they\u2019re full of genuine artists, but Bushwick is the real deal. Walking through the streets, you can feel the creative vibes. There are so many local tasty restaurants like Roberta\u2019s<\/a>, Momo Sushi<\/a> (I love the guacamole roll) and the newly opened Syndicated<\/a> \u2013 a movie theater, bar and restaurant. And if you love graffiti, take a walking tour of The Bushwick Collective<\/a>!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Brooklyn Bridge Park \u2013 \u201cWalk throughout Dumbo<\/a> and Brooklyn Bridge Park<\/a> around sunset. In the summer, I love attending the Brooklyn by the Bridge series where authors present book readings.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Park Slope Yoga<\/a> \u2013 \u201cTake a yoga class at Park Slope Yoga. I\u2019ve been practicing here on and off for ten years. The classes are always interesting and will make you work up a sweat. Everyone from the staff to teachers are very warm and welcoming and the classes are never too packed, so you can have space to practice! I love both the Hatha and Vinyasa classes depending on my mood!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Prospect Park<\/a> \u2013 \u201cWe love walking through Prospect Park early mornings with our puppy, Bowie. She\u2019s finally able to be off leash so we thoroughly enjoy having adventures with her in the park and watching her make new furry friends! Prospect Park is a wonderful park to get lost in. There\u2019s so much to to explore whether it\u2019s a waterfall, zoo or ice skating rink in the winter. Fun tip: On Sundays, Smorgasburg<\/a> is now in Prospect Park!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
