Newlyweds, David and Rosalyn headed to NYC to celebrate their honeymoon. Little did Rosalyn know David had a very special surprise “wedding gift” for his new bride…

The Story Behind the Shoot: David and Rosalyn

“Rosalyn and I met just over 5 years ago when we were living in the UK. Since then we have moved in together, taken the bold step of moving across the Atlantic and settling in Vancouver, we have recently adopted a dog (Bella), and we are now over the moon to be husband and wife.”

“We are both cold weather people and enjoy being outside; which was one of the reasons we moved to Vancouver, but also why we decided on New York for our honeymoon. We would always choose to walk outside with a hot cup of coffee exploring a new city, rather than sitting on a sunny beach for a week.”

“We wanted to be real tourists for our first trip to New York together, so we chose two of the most iconic areas for our shoot – Times Square and Central Park. And we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, and photographer, than Lauren! She made us feel comfortable from the start, and she gave us fantastic guidance throughout. She knew all the spots to get those special shots. And even didn’t mind when we got carried away and ran over our time; she truly wanted to get the perfect shots for us and seemed genuinely excited as we got the pictures we wanted!”

“The shoot was actually my wedding gift to Rosalyn, and somehow I managed to keep it a surprise! She had no idea what she was in for, but by the end she was so happy we were able to capture so many fantastic pictures together that we will always cherish.”
