Newlyweds Jackie and Charley decided to head to Marrakesh for their honeymoon to explore its intricate beauty. Read on to find out what they found there and what they brought back with them to ease the wanderlust.

“Charley and I wanted to relax by a pool under the sun after six stressful months of planning a wedding, so what better place to do so than Marrakesh! I’ve always been inspired by Moroccan culture, their attention to detail and the vibrant colours that pop out in their beautifully designed architecture. It’s hard not to fall in love with this city. My absolute favourite part of the trip was haggling in the souks. I was determined to buy an authentic Moroccan rug. We searched all throughout the souks going through every passageway in search of the perfect piece. I finally fell in love with a beautiful, antique Moroccan rug. I haggled for three hours to get it (which was the best part)! Although I’m constantly yearning to return to Marrakesh, coming home to that beautiful rug in our living room makes it a little easier.

“We had the most incredible stay at La Mamounia. If you can’t swing a stay there, buy a day pass to visit the perfectly manicured gardens or book a day at the spa. The Royal Hammam scrub and massage was amazing. Also, don’t be afraid to get out and explore the souks. I met so many wonderful people native to Morocco and heard so many stories about their lives and their passion for their trade. I fell in love with the beauty of the city, but the true beauty lies within the people of Marrakesh.

“My husband and I could not be any happier that we decided to try Flytographer during our honeymoon in Marrakesh. Adil was so lovely to work with. He is very passionate about his craft and will do whatever it takes to get the right shot. He was punctual, professional and put my husband and I at ease throughout the shoot. I could not have dreamed of a better photographer to work with. Our photos turned out amazing and we will treasure them forever! Thank you, Adil and Flytographer!” – Jackie
